Snow Leopard Trek Ladakh

Ladakh is recognized as a distinctive wildlife destination, featuring a diverse array of exotic animals and bird species that thrive in their natural habitats. The region is home to approximately 310 species of birds, including notable types such as the Golden Eagle, Lammergeier, Wallcreeper, Rock Bunting, Black-necked Crane, and Himalayan Snowcock.
Among the unique fauna, the wild yak is native to this area. Other notable animals include the ibex, blue sheep, bharal, and the docile marmot, as well as the mouse hare. The snow leopard stands out as one of Ladakh’s rarest species. Additionally, the kyang, or wild horse, is a distinct inhabitant of these highlands. At lower altitudes, the elusive musk deer is also a rare but valuable sight due to its prized musk.
