Description
This trekking trail traces an age-old trading pathway linking the Indus and Nubra valleys, once integral to the historical Silk Road spanning from India to Central Asia. Passing through one of Ladakh's least-explored regions, it unveils the pristine allure of untouched landscapes, captivating views from Lasermo La pass, and the scenic splendor of Hunder Dok Valley, ensuring a mesmerizing experience.

Detail Itinerary
Day 1 - Leh drive Phyang trek Phyang Phu (4,051M)
Commencing the trek, this day, while relatively short for walking, offers excellent acclimatization opportunities. After an initial drive to Phyang village and exploring its monastery, the trek towards Phyang Phu begins.
Stroll towards Phyang Phu, an expanse where locals bring their livestock for summer grazing.

Day 2 - Phyang Phu to South Base of Lasermo (4,955M)
Following a relaxed and unhurried breakfast, our expedition persists as we proceed with the trek towards the foothills of Lasermo La, nestled at an altitude of 4,9550 meters. The day's trek culminates with an overnight stay at our campsite, marking another segment of our adventurous trekking experience

Day 3 - South Base of Lasermo to Lasermo La (5,438M) to North Base of Lasermo (4,910M)
Today commences with an early morning departure for the ascent of the Lasermo Pass towering at 5,438 meters. Revel in the awe-inspiring panoramic view from the top of Lasermo La, showcasing the majestic peaks, the sprawling Indus valley, and the enchanting Shyok Valley. The trail leading from the pass to the campsite winds through rugged moraines for approximately an hour and a half.
Starting the trek at daybreak is imperative, especially for the ponies' safe crossing of the glacier before noon to evade potential challenges caused by thawing snow and ice. Nestled in a picturesque meadow, the campsite provides an ideal setting for exploration, offering glimpses of exquisite flowers thriving at such elevations. Our overnight stay at the camp.

Day 4 - North Base of Lasermo - Hunder Dok (4,061M)
Today's trek will lead you through a scenic views encompassing verdant meadows adorned with vibrant blossoms and occasionally strewn with rocky terrain. Much of the trek will trace the course of the Hunder stream, offering a delightful path. Traversing alongside the stream, you'll encounter the dwellings of local shepherds—residences where inhabitants from Hunder Dok Village reside alongside their Yak, cows, goats, and sheep. Observing their daily activities. Our campsite for the night awaits just above Dok Gongma (Upper Dok) Village.

Day 5 - Hunder Dok to Hunder
The concluding leg of our trek meanders through the enchanting Hunder Gorge, gradually revealing its splendor just before reaching Hunder Bridge. Just prior to our descent, a magnificent panorama of Saser Kangri (7,672m), among the loftiest peaks in Ladakh, unfolds, offering a breathtaking sight. Our overnight camp awaits, ensuring a serene end to this remarkable trekking.
